TOP GLOVE CLARIFIES EMCO AFFECTS 5,700 WORKERS AND NOT 13,190 WORKERS AS REPORTED

Shah Alam, Tuesday, 17 November 2020 We wish to update Top Glove's statement yesterday regarding the EMCO.

Top Glove wishes to clarify that the 14 days EMCO order from 17th to 30th November 2020 affects about 5,700 workers in Meru, Klang and not 13,190 workers as reported. This represents about 27% of our total employees of 21,000.

Our factories in Meru, Klang continue to operate with reduced capacity and workers not under EMCO are working under strict SOPs in alignment with guidelines from the Ministry of Health.

The majority of the affected workers are asymptomatic and do not have symptoms like fever or any sickness.
