TOP GLOVE ENHANCED CONTROL AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES TO PROTECT OUR WORKFORCE AND COMMUNITIES

Shah Alam, Friday, 13 November 2020 Top Glove is pleased to be doing our part to help prevent the further spread of the virus, while also supporting the needs of our customers, employees, business partners and the communities we serve.

Our operations in Malaysia are in strict alignment with the guidelines issued by the relevant Malaysian authorities.

We continue to emphasise the importance of safe work practices including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) which all our employees continue to adhere to strictly.

Effective 12 November 2020 (Thursday), our control and preventive measures were also made more rigorous in the critical area of protecting our workforce and the community. Initiatives included limiting the movement of our employees to only what is absolutely essential such as commuting to work and purchasing necessities.

Meanwhile, isolation houses have been set up for employees under quarantine, with strict monitoring of movements for the safety of all concerned.

Disinfection of our factories and hostels/other employee accommodation is also carried out 3 times daily.

Top Glove’s approach to the health, safety, and security of our people is grounded in our company’s Corporate Mission, which is “Ensuring Safe Human Protection Globally”. We reiterate that we are constantly monitoring the evolving situation and adapting our efforts and responses accordingly towards protecting the safety and well-being of all concerned.

To end, we are working closely with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to focus on recovery and prevention. We are confident that we, our employees and the communities we serve, will effectively manage this situation by working together.
