TOP GLOVE NOTCHES ANOTHER FIRST WITH INCLUSION IN THE S&P GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY YEARBOOK 2022

The world’s largest manufacturer of gloves makes its debut in prestigious Sustainability Yearbook 2022 with an Industry Mover distinction.

Shah Alam, Wednesday 2 February 2022 With an enhanced and even stronger commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance, "ESG", Top Glove is pleased to announce its first ever inclusion with an Industry Mover distinction in The Sustainability Yearbook 2022 by S&P Global. The Company is one of 53 Industry Movers in the 2022 Yearbook.

The annual Yearbook is one of the world s most comprehensive publications providing in depth analysis on corporate sustainability. It is based on companies across various industries assessed in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessments, CSA”, which is the basis for the S&P Global ESG Score The ESG Score is also the basis for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, "DJSI".

Companies within the top 15 per cent of each industry that participated in the CSA last year and this year, that achieved an improvement in their S&P Global ESG Score of at least 5 per cent and accomplished the strongest improvement in their industry, are awarded an Industry Mover Sustainability Award. Top Glove was named among the top 10 per cent in the Health Care Equipment Supplies industry category globally in the CSA as at the score date of 12 November 2021; a commendable increase from the previous year when it stood among the top 19 per cent of its peers.

In November 2021, Top Glove was announced as one of three Malaysian companies to be included on the prestigious 2021 DJSI, under the Emerging Markets category, marking its third year running on the Index. It is also the only Malaysian healthcare manufacturing company, and one of three healthcare industry companies to be included on the 2021 DJSI under the Emerging Markets category.

To be listed in the Yearbook, companies must be within the top 15 per cent of their industry and achieve a score within 30 per cent of their industry’s top performing companies As a result of these stringent criterion, only 716 companies across 61 industries were successfully listed in the 2022 Yearbook.
