LIM WEE CHAI'S WIFE RETIRES AS TOP GLOVE DIRECTOR

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Puan Sri Tong Siew Bee, co-founder of Top Glove Corp Bhd and wife of its other co-founder and chairman Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai, has retired as non-executive director effective Thursday (Jan 6), the world's largest glove manufacturer said in a bourse filing Thursday.

According to the company's website, 63-year-old Tong was appointed as the group co-founder on Sept 4, 2000.

She was subsequently redesignated as non-independent and non-executive director on May 8, 2019.

In another filing, Top Glove said its independent director Datuk Lim Han Boon has also retired effective Thursday.

According to the Top Glove company website, 64-year-old Lim was appointed as the group’s independent non-executive director on Feb 21, 2011.

At noon break, Top Glove fell three sen or 1.23% to RM2.41, valuing the group at RM19.12 billion.
